Jets finally punch ticket to Sim Bowl
East Rutherford, NJ-- (AP) These are not your same old Jets ladies and gentleman. After three straight loses to the Jacksonville Jaguars the Jets have finally gotten the playoff mokey of their backs and are now headed to the Sim Bowl. After winning their last four games of the regular season, the Jets claimed the #5 seed and the road to the Superbowl began with a visit to the AFC south champion Tennessee Titans and former QB Marc Bulger. It was Peyton Manning who got the best of his former team, throwing for 280 yards and 4 TD's as the Jets handled the Titans 38-24. Next up was the Chargers, arguably the best team in league history. The Chargers came out firing and took 14-0 after the 1st quarter. The Jets later tied it up and the two teams then went on to ecxhange lead changes several times in the 2nd half. A holding call on a Nate Kaeding FG sent the game into overtime. In the extra session, a defensive stop and a Peyton Manning bomb to Chad Ochocinco set up a Mike Nugent game-winning FG, as the Jets defeated the Chargers 37-34, in perhaps the most entertaining game ever played. The only thing that now stood in the Jets way of their 1st ever Superbowl was the New England Patriots, who the Jets split the regular season series with. The Jets knew they had to shut down the Patriots #1 overall rushing offense and they did just that. The Jets took a 10-0 lead after the 1st quarter and never looked back as they defeated New England 34-21. Chad Ochocinco, who was aquired in a mid-season trade with Washington, was perhaps the missing piece to the puzzle. The Jets WR has had a monster postseason so far, catching 18 balls for 376 yards and 4 TD's. The Jets have hit their stride at the right time and will now face the winner of the Cardinals-Giants NFC championship game for all the marbles.

Can the Jets win it all?!
Stay tuned to find out!
