It's a Party in the Big Easy...
New Orleans, La-- (AP) And the Arizona Cardinals have just been invited to the big dance, the SimBowl down in the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. This being after the Cardinals impressively defeated the team with the best record in the USL, the New York Giants, whom finished the season with a 15-1 regular season record and possessed the #1 seed in the NFC.

Going into the Meadowlands and beating the #1 team was an incredible feat for this Cardinal football team but no easy one. The Cards won on a late drive where they scored with 1:19 left on the clock. The #1 defense in the land then showed its might by forcing a turnover on downs on the Giants to get the ball back to Arizona and secure the victory.

Matt Leinart had a solid outing in his first game back with the Cardinals after recovering from an injury. He was 18/24 with 263 yds and 3 TDs. The Arizona Cardinals took 3 knees proudly to kill the clock and celebrate their accomplishment of 2010 NFC Champions and a trip to the SimBowl.

Coach Whisenhunt here, proudly hoists up the NFC championship trophy as the team celebrates around him. Now, Arizona must prepare for another New York team. That being the New York Jets who played very well this postseason beating the Chargers and then the Patriots, 2 of the favorites in the AFC. This game also sets up a matchup between 2 veteran USL GMs, GM Dan Spiel of Arizona and GM John Pettinelli of New York. So get your friends together and have a good time watching this intriguing SimBowl matchup between the New York Jets of the AFC, and the Arizona Cardinals of the NFC, squaring off in Nawlins.

Back to Back Conference Championship Games for Spiel
East Rutherford, NJ-- (AP) As we approach kickoff of the NFC championship game between the New York Giants and the Arizona Cardinals here in the Meadowlands, we're going to take a closer look at the big match-up. This will be Cardinals GM Dan Spiel's 2nd consecutive season going to the NFC Championship game. Only the interesting part is that it is with a different team in each of his 2 trips. Last year, he lead his Washington Redskins to this game in his first playoff appearance as a GM in the USL. There, they were disappointed in defeat by the team that would go on to win the SimBowl, the St. Louis Rams.

This time, GM Dan Spiel hopes to redeem last year's sad ending with a SimBowl visit this season with his new team, the Arizona Cardinals. The defending champs, the St. Louis Rams, are no longer a threat after the Cardinals beat them twice in the regular season and they exited the playoffs early in a first-round loss to the Packers whom the Cards beat. But this year, there is a new foe standing between Arizona and the SimBowl. It is the New York football Giants who almost finished the regular season perfect. The Cardinals will have their hands full suppressing the #1 offense in the league. However, the Giants will also have to put up with the #1 defense in Arizona. A classic matchup of great offense vs great defense. Also, this time, Matt Leinart will be returning to the field for the first time since an injury has knocked him out most of the season. So make sure to catch this game in the Meadowlands cause you are not going to want to miss this epic battle between the #1 seed Giants and the #2 seed Cardinals as they fight it out to represent the NFC in the Simbowl.

Cardinals Fly High in Win Over Rams
After a change in administration this offseason, the Arizona Cardinals team has responded well and started off the season greatly at a record of 2-0 with wins over divisional rivals, the San Francisco 49ers and the defending Sim Bowl champs, the St. Louis Rams. The Cards won fairly easily in a 20-7 win on the road over San Francisco. This week was the test of whether or not this team was capable of winning the big one. Unable to beat the Rams in the playoffs last year, new GM Dan Spiel made it his goal to take down St. Louis and stop them from repeating as champions. GM Dan Spiel, lead the Redskins to a rebound season last year with a NFC East division title. Now he was able to beat the team that prevented his Redskins from going to the SimBowl last year in the NFC Conference Championship game. A 36-34 win lead by veteran wide-out Torry Holt with a pair of TDs helped the Arizona Cardinals pull off this huge win. They will now have to face 2 more NFC playoff teams from last season, the Dallas Cowboys and the New Orleans Saints. We'll see if the Cardinals can continue to beat good teams and stay consistent.
